After more than 25 years

It’s still a career and profession
that I love

In my early twenties I had a back injury and turned to acupuncture after other treatments had failed to help.  I was fascinated by how just a few fine needles placed in my back and feet could free me from the pain and discomfort I’d experienced for almost a year and wanted to learn more.

I went on to study Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese and Western medicine at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, graduating in 1996.  During those early years, I opened clinics in Nottingham and Stamford and returned to the Northern College as a final year tutor on the MSc in Acupuncture course.

In more recent times, I’ve worked as part of the NHS Pain Clinic team at Circle Nottingham and now offer private treatments at clinics in Broughton Astley, Barrow Upon Soar and Leicester, working alongside GP’s and other healthcare professionals.

Having confidence in your acupuncturist goes without saying and your safety is a priority. My professional regulatory body is the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and I am also on a voluntary register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) - a scheme set up by the Government to improve standards and safety for the benefit of the public.
