Mind & body

We inhabit a world where
we experience more and more
pressure on a daily basis - especially
so during challenging times.

How do we cope when we are told we have a particular illness, that a loved one needs care, or our jobs and livelihoods are under threat? Our emotional reaction to life’s challenges can manifest itself in anxiety, stress, worry, anger, frustration, tiredness, fatigue, sleep problems and ill health. It can be a vicious circle.

It’s easy to paper over cracks in a wall and make things look better, but the cracks are still there. Liken that to how we deal with our health.

We often look for a ‘quick fix’ and relief from our symptoms, but unless we look at the root cause things won’t change. We can often feel overwhelmed and it could be that changes are hard to make, but making even the smallest adjustment could make a difference. Using acupuncture to support you on this journey could enable you to unwind, destress, find a coping strategy and live more in tune with your body.

Following a life-changing diagnosis of breast cancer in 2018, I was plunged into one of the most personally challenging periods in my life. Whilst waiting for a detailed diagnosis, I was introduced to Julie through a friend and former patient of hers. From the first appointment she provided me with support, wisdom and expertly administered acupuncture. My anxiety levels became manageable and I slept deeply and felt in control. Nothing else then or since has provided the same level of transformative therapy. I continue to value my time with Julie, she will always be my go-to healer.
